N. Romaine White is a writer living in the wilds of central Maryland. A Hood College alum, she got her professional start as a local arts and entertainment journalist. Romaine experiments with incorporating Mid-Atlantic history and experiences into her fiction writing. By day she masquerades as children’s book author and illustrator Nilah Magruder. Nilah’s work has appeared in Uncanny Magazine, Fireside Magazine, books published by Harlequin Teen, Scholastic, and Macmillan, and in television and film. She won the Dwayne McDuffie Award for Diversity and was nominated for a Hugo Award. When not working, Romaine is baking, gardening, and hanging with her dogs, cats, and chickens.
